Virat Kohli known as Mr. Unstoppable had been performing hard for Team India. He is regarded as one of the best batsmen in the world. Recently in series against West Indies, Kohli reached many landmarks, in fact, he broke many records including Master Blaster’s record too.

Indian captain Virat Kohli on 5th November turned 30 years old. He celebrated his 30th birthday with his wife and Bollywood Actress Anushka Sharma at Haridwar. They will stay in Haridwar till November 7.

Virat has been at rest from India’s ongoing T20I series against Windies. He will now make his presence felt on the Australia tour which will consist of three T20I, four Tests and five ODIs. The tour will start with its first T20I match on November 21 in Brisbane.

Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant jokingly said about Virat's FIFA skills. He told that when they meet again, they have to play FIFA where Virat will be losing so he Virat needs to improve his FIFA game too.

Indian Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh said, "He is a changed man. When he came into the squad, he was like a Delhi boy, who would eat golgappas and all. Now he has totally changed. Only Four Players have Scored Two Triple Centuries at Test Level

Hundred, Hundred and again Hundred, not an easy task and two times a triple century is not at all an easy task in test cricket. Until now, only four batsmen have been able to do so.

On 30 occasions in test cricket, 26 different batsmen from eight of the twelve Test-cricket playing nations have achieved a triple century. Till now no players from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Ireland, and Zimbabwe have achieved this landmark.

The first Test triple century was made by Andy Sandham of England against the West Indies in 1930. Reaching the 300 more than once is not an easy task. Only four players so far have been able to do it. West Indies Cricketer Brian Lara and Chris Gayle, Australian Cricketer Donald Bradman and Indian Cricketer Virender Sehwag are the only batsmen to reach 300 more than once.

West Indies player Brian Lara on 16 April 1994 scored 375 against England and on 10 April 2004 scored 400 not out against England which is the is the highest score in Test cricket. One more player from West Indies Chris Gayle also achieved this feat. On 29 April 2005, he scored 317 against South Africa and on 15 November 2010 he scored 333 against Sri Lanka.

Australian Cricketer Donald Bradman on 11 July 1930 scored 334 against England and on 20 July 1934 scored 304 that too against England. Indian Cricketer Virendra Sehwag on 28 March 2004 scored 309 against Pakistan and on 26 March 2008 scored 319 against South Africa.

Donald Bradman also scored 299 not out against South Africa in 1932 as well as Virendra Sehwag also scored 293 off 254 balls in the third Test between Sri Lanka and India in December 2009. Both of them were very near to their triple century but unfortunately could not complete it.

Headingley in Leeds, England and the Antigua Recreation Ground in St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda are the two cricket grounds where the most triple centuries are scored. Last on 16 December 2016, Indian Cricketer Karun Nair scored 303 not out against England completing his first triple century in test cricket at M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

Cricket Australia Update on India’s Tour of Australia

Australia’s tour against India will begin from November 21 and will consist of three T20Is, four Tests and three ODIs. The series will end on January 21.

David Warner and Steve Smith are serving a one-year ban for ball-tampering during the team’s previous visit to South Africa. While Rookie Cameron Bancroft was suspended for nine months for their involvement in the ball-tampering scandal.

Cricket Australia will not reconsider reducing the ban on Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft in the ball-tampering case despite India vs Australia series next month.

Skipper Steve Smith and his Deputy David Warner were punished with a one-year international ban while rookie Cameron Bancroft was suspended for nine months by Cricket Australia in March 2018 for their role in the ball-tampering scandal in South Africa.

The scandal involved these three players conspiring to use sandpaper to illegally alter the shape of the ball in the third Test against South Africa in Cape Town.

The Australian Cricketers Association (ACA) termed the punishment on the trio harsh and called for a reconsideration but CA chairman David Peever remained fixed and turned down the appeal.

David Peever told that sanctions were carried out and imposed by the board after a very full and thoughtful process. So the sanctions stand. He told that as chairman of the board of CA, he accepts responsibility for what happened in South Africa, but he is also very confident that they are positioned to move forward from here.

He further told that they have learned many lessons and of course there has been a lot going on since then. Both within the playing group and within the organization itself to move things forward.

The players union president Greg Dyer said that bans imposed on Warner, Smith, and Bancroft for their role in the Newlands ball-tampering scandal should be re-examined in light of systemic failings raised by the independent reviews into CA.

The bans on Smith and Warner will continue till April 2019, while Bancroft’s suspension ends in January. On the other hand, Team India has announced its Squad for T20I and Test.

India’s T20I squad as announced includes Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Dinesh Karthik, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Washington Sundar, Krunal Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Umesh Yadav and Khaleel Ahmed.

Rohit Sharma told that he has played a lot of cricket at CCI and he always enjoyed batting there. It is a good pitch and one can get value for his shots. He told that it has a fast outfield, so one doesn’t need to try and hit too hard. Batmen can find the gaps and that’s what he was looking at. When batsmen come to a ground where he had played enough cricket, he feels confident while going into a match.

He further told that he understands the nature of the pitch and what it does when the spinners are bowling, what helps the spinners when the bowl turns, those things are important. He had a lot of opportunities to play there and it was all about doing the same thing. He told that he don’t want to rate my knocks because all of them and all the runs he has scored for India are important to him.

After the end of fourth ODI, Rohit Sharma apart from scoring 150-plus a record seven times also became the first batsman to score a hundred in every format at CCI. The fifth ODI is scheduled on November 1 at Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram.

West Indies Captain Jason Holder told that they didn’t play well enough. They allowed them to score too many runs. They never got going with the bat and the application definitely was not there. Lost wickets up front and didn’t get enough momentum.

Here is what Sourav Ganguly has to say on Virat’s achievement

After the beautiful partnership of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the first One Day International against West Indies out of the five-match ODI series which was held at Guwahati, Virat-Rohit left everyone amazed.

In the second One Day International at Visakhapatnam, Virat scored the 37th ODI hundred of his career and the 5th ODI century of 2018.

Virat also completed his 10000 ODI Runs and became the 13th overall and fifth Indian batsmen to enter in the elite 10k Runs group. Virat also broke Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar’s record and became the fastest to 10000 ODI runs. Virat took 205 Innings to reach this landmark while Sachin Tendulkar achieved this in 259 innings.

Though the match was ended in a tie as West Indies responded with 321/7 to India’s 321/6 but the match was very special for Captain Virat Kohli.

On this Sourav Ganguly said that he is at a loss of words to describe Virat Kohli's performance. He told that the wicket was different that day, conditions were different, but Virat changed the entire game. It was a fantastic knock. Sourav said that he doesn't have enough words.

Sourav Ganguly compared Kohli with Sachin and said that he has closely seen Sachin Tendulkar play and Sachin has scored 49 ODI hundreds and 100 tons overall but Kohli is no less than anybody. Ganguly told that Kohli has now scored 37 ODI hundreds and he is not too far behind Tendulkar's record. It is important to see that Kohli can play in all conditions and to change the game in all conditions. He carries the entire team on his shoulders.

Ganguly said, "We saw that in England too where he scored hundreds when all the other batsmen were failing to score runs. India was at a difficult position in Guwahati today but Kohli led the team out of troubled waters. He is an all-time great in Indian cricket and in world cricket. He is not even 30 and has a lot of time left in his career. Since that 2014 England tour, Kohli has completely changed himself as a batsman and has scored 39 international hundreds. This is just unbelievable. Kohli is an example for every cricketer," he said.

Sourav Ganguly concluded saying that Kohli is a master. There's no doubt now that Kohli is on par with Sachin Tendulkar in ODI cricket. He told that he will not compare Kohli with Tendulkar, both are very big players. However, Kohli has certainly taken this generation of cricket to a different level. His consistency and intensity are remarkable. There's no stopping him. Whenever he comes on to the field, it feels as if it's his first time.

Virat Kohli is optimistic about India vs Australia tour and thinks India can compete in challenging conditions too.
